Training for Managers

Modules 1,2 and 4 are know as “Getting Started”. They are District-led so to arrange to complete these please contact your DC or ADC (AT).

All the other modules and courses will be led by the Region and booked using this website. The modules are grouped together in ‘courses’ of related modules. You can click on the course links to see what is involved, when they will be available, and to register yourself to attend either the complete course or some of the modules in it.

Module 25 Assessing Learning

Aim: To provide the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to effectively support, validate and assess adults in The Scout Association’s Adult Training Scheme, the Adventurous Activity Permit Scheme, Nights Away Permit Scheme and the Scout Show National Recognition Scheme.

Topics:  Learning and development needs of adults; undertaking appropriate assessments and validations; providing positive and constructive feedback; role-specific elements for managers, Training Advisers, activity assessors, Nights Away
