The Regional Team

The Regional Team

The Regional Team leads and supports the seven Districts within the Region to support and deliver Scouting directly to young people. The Region addresses issues of development, support for adult volunteers, communications and specific support for the delivery of the young people’s programme. The Region also has a business arm which ensures compliance, funding and maintains the provision of three Centres and a professional staff team.

Active Support Units (ASU)

These Units provide adult volunteers the opportunity to support local Scouting in a range of different ways.  Members must be aged 18 years or over and be eligible for membership of The Scout Association.  Units are available in the Region supporting the Bonaly Outdoor Centre and the Longcraig Water Activity Centre.  The Gang Show also benefits from an ASU.  Elsewhere, Units exist in some Districts and in a small number of Scout Groups.
